A nice, gentle post-work spin on the Mount Vernon Trail. I didn’t do this ride with any goal other than to move the legs a bit for the day. I got to take a lot of great photos of airplanes landing at DCA, of Old Town Alexandria, and of a pair of mallard ducks – they’ll be posted to Flickr tomorrow. There was a really good south breeze, which was accentuated by the wake vortex action behind landing aircraft (B737-800s with blended winglets seemed to leave the most dramatic – and noisy – wake turbulence).
