on my way back home

I write this entry from the seating area around gate B36 at Denver International Airport, awaiting my flight back to DC.

All-in-all, it was a good trip home. My mom’s hip is really bothering her, and it’s evident in her ginger movements around the house. Her surgery is in June, and she (and I) can’t wait. For the trip to Austria, she’ll probably get a cortisone shot to calm the joint for a fortnight – it’ll be a great help, lemme tell ‘ya.

So I return to DC, where winter might be showing itself in the next few days. Seeing winter in SLC was quite a morale booster – though the big toe on my right foot may have a different opinion.
