After last winter’s paltry skiing season, I’ve taken measures to ensure that I can ski more this winter:
First salvo: a trip to Utah in early January to ski my home hills. I’ll stay with mom, which will save on lodging and food.
Second salvo: a trip to the Alps (!!!) in late February. I’ll use London as a gateway, so I get some time in England along the way. I’ll likely stay with family friends in the greater Salzburg, Austria, region, which will save on lodging and food, yet again.
So, at the very least, I’ll have two good trips to enjoy this winter. And it’ll be my first time skiing in the Alps in the winter (I skied in Tignes, France, and Saas Fee, Switzerland, in the summer of 1990, but that was on glaciers).
I can hardly wait!
