nausea and fever friday

So I wasn’t feeling my best last night: sneezing, runny nose, groggy head, and an upset stomach. I took a Benadryl and a Pepto pill and hit the hay.

I then woke up 4 times during the middle of the night to, as Monty Python said, “clear the sluices at both ends.” I was running a fever, too.

So I’m at home today, trying to beat this crud out of me so I can have a great weekend. So far, it seems to be working: temperature is close to normal again, food is staying down (the simple stuff: tea, juice, soup, oatmeal), and the nose is doing better. And I’ve slept a lot: whenever my body has said “let’s sleep,” I’ve shut my eyes for a while.
