Well, the cat’s out of the bag:
Vice President Dick Cheney’s former chief of staff, I. Lewis (Scooter) Libby, testified to a federal grand jury that he had been “authorized” by Cheney and other White House “superiors” in the summer of 2003 to disclose classified information to journalists to defend the Bush administration’s use of prewar intelligence in making the case to go to war with Iraq, according to attorneys familiar with the matter, and to court records….
Libby testified to the grand jury that he had been authorized to share parts of the National Intelligence Estimate with journalists in the summer of 2003 as part of an effort to rebut charges then being made by former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Wilson that the Bush administration had misrepresented intelligence information to make a public case for war.
If that’s not an impeachable offense, I don’t know what is. And the bread cumbs lead all the way to the Naval Observatory – and thus to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
We’ll see what else comes forth in the coming days and weeks, but things are looking worse and worse for BushCo.
Now, if only the Dems would unify and fight the good fight. We’ll see…

For discussion (and I’m somewhat sensitive to this due to my work history) – classification guidlines are all overseen by the Executive, and established by executive order. Therefore, if the Pres wants to declassify something, he has that power, right?
Just a thought.
