A nice afternoon ride, doing laps at Hains Point. The headwind on the backside of each lap was fierce: a steady 10-15 wind coming from the 10-12 o’clock direction (i.e. northwest) made the wind resistance on portions of each lap feel like a 25-30 mph pace. It was great for a workout, though, and I challenged myself to keep up the pace into the wind.
On the way to and from Hains Point, I passed the filmin crew for Breach, a film about the Robert Hanssen spy scandal. The cast looks good, with Chris Cooper playing Hanssen, and other top-tier stars (including the wonderful Laura Linney) in the mix, as well.
