In the past 24 hours, regular unleaded at the local Mobil station has gone from $3.14 to $3.34 – almost one cent per hour.

    And the brand-name stores have long-term contracts. The no names buy it on the spot market. Here the ExxonMobil price was below $3.00 on Wednesday, but the generic store was already higher.
