The pain is mostly gone, and though the arm is feeling more-or-less fine, I’m playing it safe and keeping it in a sling, bearing little-to-no weight.
It drives me nuts!
I want to be able to use it just like I did before the injury – and I will, given time. Right now, it’s still too unstable to use for anyhing more than the occasional holding of a cup, plate or bowl, a washcloth, a hair elastic, etc. I am moving it through a good range of motion (very slowly and deliberately), and I’m cleared to type with it. It’s a lot better than nothing.
But the arm still seems very vestigial, and it gets annoying. Soon all will be okay again, but for now, I’d love to have my old arm back.
