I’m a fan of the Harry Potter book series, and I can’t wait for midnight tonight, when the latest volume is released.

One of the few details that J.K. Rowling has revealed is that a major character will die in this book (sprite has her own take on things – possible spoilers on her site – but mentions that the death of a major character is a common trait of fantasy book series). In the spirit of this “impending” death, The London Guardian ran a contest where readers were invited to submit death scenes in the styles of famous authors. The results are hilarious!
