Leave it to Sen. Rick “Asshat” Santorum (R-PA) to use his “superior intellect” to try and upstage Sen. Lautenberg’s wonderful Palpatine allusion on the floor: Santorum compared the Democrats to Adolf Hitler:

“The audacity of some members to stand up and say, ‘How dare you break this rule.” It’s the equivalent of Adolf Hitler in 1942 declaring, ‘I’m in Paris. How dare you invade me. How dare you bomb my city. It’s mine.'”

Wow – this guy is even more inept, stupid, loony and out-of-touch than I thought. He needs to re-read his WWII history, for one. And – oh yeah, he needs to just shut up for once.
