Bill Frist (R-TN) and the theocons to those of Senator Palpatine and the Galactic Empire of Star Wars stories. For those who don’t already know the story, read no further. Senator Palpatine gains power over the Galactic Senate by changing the chamber’s rule through fear, deception and technicalities. And this is exactly what Frist and the theocons are trying to do by ending the candidate filibuster in the Senate.
