A fun ride from the Howard County Fairgrounds to Wheaton, via Routes 144 and 97. There were some decent hills, which proved a nice challenge. Once I got to Wheaton, sprite had caught up with me in the car and we continued to DC from there. I saw llamas, Sheatland ponies and may horses along the way (I recall a Kentucky Derby winner coming from Howard County sometime in my past). The raod was much better before Olney than after, where it turned into a divided, 6-lane highway with little-to-no shoulder and drivers who thought that bicycles are kiddie toys (asshats).

I also rear-ended a wasp, resulting in a sting just above my left knee. I kept riding, though, and all that happened is it likely triggered a sneezing attack just south of Olney (though the pollen count today was really high, so anything could be the cause).
