Back in high school, I practically lived in an independent coffee house – Salt Lake Roasting Company. Ever since, I’ve had an affinity for independent coffee and tea houses, and try to patronize them whenever possible. From the Green Marble Coffee House and Klekolo in Connecticut, to Jamaica Coffee House in Vermont, to Soho Tea and Coffee here in the District, I try to patronize the local shops whenever possible.
Now there’s a great website that helps locate independent coffee and tea houses throughout the U.S.: Delocator.net. This will help me in my travels, for sure.
